I just did this shoot with Nasty Canasta at the Slipper Room, and she was great! Gorgeous and such a pro. A few years back I photoed many burlesque performers, and now I am meeting a lot of newer performers (or ones that I hadn't met before). It feels good to follow this subject again and be inspired by all the glitter, costumes, drama, dancing...it reminds me of when I was little and used to play dress up (never stopped!). I have also recently photoed Runaround Sue, Gal Friday, and Lady Aye - those photos coming soon!
